On Saturday I just got back from Fiji. It was really cool. I went with a group called Marine Reach.
First we flow from Nelson to Auckland then Auckland to Nadi. We got picked up from the airport in some huckory, old, broken bus to go to Lautoka, which was were the boat was. It took about 30mins and there were pot holes all over the road.
We unloaded our bags, had a look in the boat then had a meeting in the lounge.
In the morning we were aloud to go shopping until 4 which was when we were leaving to sail. The city was pretty dirty!
The forecast for the sea was going to be ruff to very ruff! I didn't think it was too bad because I slept nearly the whole ride. It was a 20 hour trip, I slept for 16 hours! Heaps of people were sick! When we got there we went onto the island and went to the main village Yaroi. They did there thing with the Chief and then we had a look around the village. We met lots of the people. They showed us round. We went back to the boat and had tea.
The rest of the days the evangelism team (Which was the team I was on) went to the schools of all the villages, some days we stayed on the boat and did programs with the kids while they waited to go to the dentist. All together we had 14 working days and 16 away from home. It was really good but glad to be home!

A Frightening Day
I woke up; trying to predict what was going to happen. It was Tuesday morning. We were going out to Kaiteriteri to learn about sea safety. I didn’t know what was going to happen out at sea.
We jumped into our cars and went to Kaiteri.
When we got there, we were freezing cold! We met our guides, chose a kayak each and went out to sea.
Our aim was to travel out to the big island straight ahead of us.
Suddenly dark clouds surrounded us! We were frightened but everyone was sure that they wanted to keep going.
I called out to Brittany to see if she was alright. I could only hear her faintly.
“Brittany,” I yelled out again,m but this time I couldn’t hear her at all! I yelled out to Charlie, our guide, “Brittany’s missing!”
“Everyone come here, huddle up. Now I have to go and search for Brittany. You guys stay here with Anita and I will search for her. Okay?”
“Yes”, everyone agreed nervously.
Elizabeth started mumbling to herself. It sounded like she was working out year 12 maths! Suddenly she yelled out “Anita don’t you, have a phone with you?”
“Yes, yes I do, that’s a brilliant idea!” she said.
So she called 111 and got help.
It seemed liked ages before we heard and saw a helicopter above us. We waved our hands about and yelled “help, help!!”
The sky was clearing up very, very slowly. It still wasn’t clear enough to kayak back. So we had to travel back to shore on a helicopter one by one. We were looking out for Brittany on the way back.
The sky cleared up some more.
We could faintly see Charlie with someone or something on the back of his kayak. When they were just about in we could swear it was Brittany!
They got to shore and he told us his story of finding Brittany. She was safe and sound with no cuts or bruises.
On the way home Brittany said, “I wasn’t scared at all! I was just starving and I couldn’t find you so I just went off into this cave and ate!”
“Brittany! We were all scared and worried about you!” Keilamarita said.
“Oh you guys! You knew I’d be alright!”
“Yeah I suppose It is Brittany, so confident!”
“Yep I’m fine! Just hungry!” Brittany replied, “Anyone got anymore food?”
Everyone cracked up laughing. We all had, had a fun, scary and exciting day!

Young Man Rises from the Dead
Just this morning Jesus was witnessed walking around after he had just been hung on a cross and put in a tomb for 3 days. Some women went to see Jesus in his tomb, but he was gone. The women went to tell the apostles but they did not believe him at first.
However, one apostle named Thomas said that he had since seen Jesus himself and that all the people who loved him are glad that he is alive.

Holidays!
How were your holidays?
In the holidays I went to Nelson and saw Bratz,The Movie.
I didn't like it but my sister wanted to see it so we did .
Matt(Our Boarder)had to go to hospital for 3 days.
He had like a tiny scab on elbow ,but it had infected his whole elbow.
When he got back Josiah(The Chef)made us salmon steaks and sushi for Matt coming home.
It was delicious. It looked like bought sushi.
We also went to the aquatic centre with my cousins Tania and Tia.
